What's New?
Having undergone a redesign last year, the new Blazer model receives one new addition this year. That addition is a new color called Riptide Blue Metallic.
Performance
There are only two engines offered for the Chevy Blazer. There's a 228-hp turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder that comes standard. Then there's an optional 308-hp 3.6-liter V6. Each engine is mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission and features front- or all-wheel drive.
Design
Many of the Chevy Blazer's design elements are borrowed from the Camaro model. As such, the Blazer has thin LED headlights, a beveled hood, and a sleeker aesthetic than most other SUVs. The cabin is equally impressive, offering an intuitive climate-control system and round air vents below the center stack, plus heated and ventilated front and rear seats.
There are plenty of storage options available, too. There are shelves and bins in the cabin to store small items. And the cargo area, which is about 31 cubic feet, can hold about 11 carry-on suitcases. Fold the seats down, though, and you can expand the space to 64 cubic feet to hold around 26 bags.
Technology
Whether it's the base trim or the highest available model, every Blazer offers a host of technology. Standard features include a 10.2-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, a wireless charging pad, plus a USB port in the front & back for charging devices.
Higher trims offer more advanced features such as:
- A 120-volt outlet
- Wi-Fi hotspot
- An eight-speaker Bose audio system
- Built-in navigation
Safety Features
For the safety of its passengers, Chevrolet has outfitted the new Blazer with a suite of standard advanced driver-aids. These include forward-collision warning, automated emergency braking, and lane-keeping assist. However, by upgrading to a higher trim, you'll receive more advanced driver-aids such as adaptive cruise control, a surround-view camera system, and rear parking sensors.
Trim Levels
There are four trims offered for the 2024 Blazer model. There's the 2LT, 3LT, RS and Premier.
2LT: As the base model, the 2LT sits on 18-inch wheels and has heated front seats, heated exterior mirrors, a six-speaker audio system, and a 10-inch touchscreen.
3LT: Upgrade to the next trim, and you'll receive amenities like leather upholstery, mirrors with integrated turn signals, and a power liftgate. The contents of the Driver Confidence package are also offered.
RS: As a higher-end trim, the RS gets outfitted with the upgraded V6 engine and offers amenities such as a heated steering wheel, navigation system, ambient interior lighting, and an eight-speaker Bose audio system.
Premier: This top-tier trim comes installed with the four-cylinder engine as standard and offers unique chrome and silver accents. The Premier is also equipped with the RS trim and can be optioned with the Driver Confidence II or Enhanced Convenience package.
