Signs Your Vehicle Needs New Tires

One of the most common questions we receive from customers is how often to change out tires. Many factors complicate the answer, but you can expect tires to last three to five years. However, driving habits, unexpected road hazards, or alignment issues can affect the wear rate or condition. Routine maintenance and daily visual inspections are the best way to monitor your tire condition, but anything can happen between regular visits. If you experience any of the following, please contact our Service Center to get your tires checked out:

  • Low Tread Depth
  • Unable to Keep Constant Pressure
  • Visible Damage
  • Poor Steering or Reduced Stopping Power
  • Uneven Tread Wear

Available Tire Services at Country Chevrolet Inc.

We offer all the tire services you need to keep your vehicle up to date! Contact our Service Center or use our online booking tool to schedule your next appointment. Here is a quick overview of our tire services:

  • Rotations: Tire rotations are needed at every routine maintenance appointment or 5,000 to 7,500 miles to ensure even tread wear.
  • Balancing: Tires are due for balancing at every other maintenance appointment or every 12,000 miles. Balancing ensures smooth handling, comfortable ride quality, and even tread wear.
  • Alignments: Tire alignments are generally due every two to three years to ensure safety, proper handling, good fuel efficiency, and avoid wear and tear to the suspension. If you are ever in a fender bender or other collision accident, it's important to ensure the tires are aligned.
  • Replacement: All tires need to be replaced at the end of their life cycle. We typically recommend driving on the same set of tires for no more than ten years of service, even if they appear visually intact. You can expect tires to last an average of three to five years.
